Solitaire Network’s Data Usage in General:

Solitaire Network itself does not use first party cookies. Although cookies are not harmful, they get transmitted to servers by their design.

This website, for first party data, only uses local storage. Personally identifiable information is never stored in this data. Additionally, our local storage data is never transmitted to servers, not even to our own server. When used in this way, this protects your data better than if we used cookies.

The remainder of this page will explain the various types of data used by Solitaire Network and third parties, such as Google.

Strictly Necessary Data Uses:

This section refers to this website’s use of strictly necessary data storage and retrieval. Third-party usage is available later on this page.

In order to determine if we need to ask you for data consent, we need to first determine if you are in a location that requires consent. Except for this very broad approach we do not attempt to learn of your location.

When necessary to comply with GDPR and other regulations, Solitaire Network will ask for your consent to store data on your device. The use of local storage on your device is necessary to remember choices that you make.

When consent is given, a piece of data called “sn_consent” is placed in your local storage. It contains a simple value of 1 or 0. This allows us to honor your data storage choice thereafter.

It is possible to restrict this use of data by using your browser’s settings to not allow local storage and/or cookies. This is not recommended since it would prevent the website from functioning as you would expect. As it pertains to strictly necessary data, this approach to restrict data storage would result in repeated requests for consent each time you change a preference.

No personally identifiable information is ever placed in this setting. This data is never shared, not even with Solitaire Network’s own server.

Consented Use of Data:

This section refers to this website’s use of consented data usage. Third-party usage is available later on this page.

Solitaire Network provides settings to customize your game-playing experience. These settings allow you to choose your preferences such as which card deck you prefer, whether you want sounds on or off, whether you want the game to Auto-play when winning becomes a foregone conclusion, and other settings such as these. These settings, and the data stored and retrieved on your device allows the settings to be remembered each time you start a new game or come back to the website.

These game settings are only used for your convenience and are only stored upon your request for these services.

Each setting is stored in its own piece of data in your browser’s local storage and contains a simple number from 0-3. Here are the names of the settings stored in local storage that this website uses to store your game preferences: sn_winnable, sn_soundon, sn_green, sn_decknum, sn_autoplay, sn_position, mj_soundon, mj_dimtiles, mj_autoplay.

No personally identifiable information is ever placed in any of these settings. This data is never shared, not even with Solitaire Network’s own server.

It is also possible to restrict this use of data by using your browser’s settings to not allow local storage and/or cookies. This is not recommended since it would prevent the website from functioning as you would expect and your choices would not be remembered next time you play a game or visit the site in the future.

To revoke or reset your previous consent of this type of data, simply clear your browser's cookies and other site data (cache). See this helpful guide if you need help doing this.
