HOW CAN I PLAY?

You can do ONE of these things:
  • Recommended: Install and use the latest version of Firefox or Google Chrome. The games play best in these browsers.
  • OK: If you are using Internet Explorer, update your browser to the most recent version (version 9 or 10.) Internet Explorer 9 requires Windows Vista or Windows 7. Internet Explorer 10 Requires Windows 7 or Windows 8.
  • Also OK: Another option for Internet Explorer is to use the Google Chrome Frame Plug-In. This option adds HTML5 technology to Internet Explorer for websites that require it. Installation is fast and easy. You must close and restart all browser windows after installation.
  • Not Recommended: You may also use the old Java versions of the games by clicking the link above this game space. Support is limited. You should also be aware that Java has security issues. Simple Scorpion SoliTaire! Rules:

Goal

Form four sets of cards of the same suit from King to Ace within the Columns.

The Deal

Using one deck, each of seven Columns is dealt 3 cards. In the first four Columns, the first card is dealt face down; the Scorpion's tail. The other Column cards are dealt face up. All undealt cards will be in the Stock ready to be played at any time.

Columns

Columns are built DOWN in the SAME SUIT. For example, a 6 of clubs may only be placed onto a 7 of clubs.

Any number of face up cards may be moved whether in sequence or not provided the above build rule is applied.

When a face down card is the topmost card in a Column, it is flipped face up.

Empty Columns may be filled with Kings.

One point is scored for each card built within a Column starting with a King. For example, if a Column has a K, Q, and J of the same suit in sequence then three points are scored for that combination.

Stock

When play comes to a standstill (or sooner if desired,) clicking on the Stock deals one card to each Column.
