HOW CAN I PLAY?

You can do ONE of these things:
  • Recommended: Install and use the latest version of Firefox or Google Chrome. The games play best in these browsers.
  • OK: If you are using Internet Explorer, update your browser to the most recent version (version 9 or 10.) Internet Explorer 9 requires Windows Vista or Windows 7. Internet Explorer 10 Requires Windows 7 or Windows 8.
  • Also OK: Another option for Internet Explorer is to use the Google Chrome Frame Plug-In. This option adds HTML5 technology to Internet Explorer for websites that require it. Installation is fast and easy. You must close and restart all browser windows after installation.
  • Not Recommended: You may also use the old Java versions of the games by clicking the link above this game space. Support is limited. You should also be aware that Java has security issues. Colorado SoliTaire! Rules:

Goal

Move all cards to the eight Foundation piles in the same suit (four piles from Ace to King and the other four from King to Ace.)

The Deal

Using two decks, each of 20 Columns is dealt one card. The remaining cards are left over in a Stock.

Foundations

There are eight Foundations.

Four of the Foundations (on the left) are built UP and IN the SAME SUIT starting with an Ace and ending with a King. For example, A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K.

The other four Foundations (on the right side) are built DOWN and IN the SAME SUIT from King down to Ace. For example, K,Q,J,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,A.

Columns

Columns have no particular build order. Any card from the Stock Pile may be placed on any other card. Empty Columns may be filled with any card from the Stock Pile.

Cards may not be moved from Column to Column.

The topmost card in any Column is available for play to a Foundation.

Stock and Stock Pile

83 cards remain in the Stock after dealing. The Stock Pile will automatically be dealt a card from the Stock each time a card is moved from the Stock Pile.
